The Announcement Of Doom May Take Place At The Xbox Games Showcase, Sources Say

Due to numerous rumors and reports about Xbox plans and events at the Xbox Games Showcase event in June, it is difficult to determine which of them are true. Based on information from Tom Warren of The Verge, it can be assumed that a Doom-related project will be announced during the event. 

The exact information about the project is still unknown, but Warren's words that Microsoft plans to announce new games that can increase the popularity of Doom on Xbox are of interest.

It is worth noting that back in 2021, it was reported about the recruitment of employees at id Software to develop a sequel to the iconic FPS shooter, reminiscent of Doom or Quake. Considering that after the release of Doom Eternal in 2020, id Software did not release large-scale projects, it can be assumed that the studio is working on a new project.
